The Advent Wreath
Suggestion for Advent, make a small wreath at home,
ask the children to help. A circle of ivy and holly a
purple ribbon. Four little candles, or little battery
lights for safety, light the first one on the kitchen table.
Say the following prayer:
Lord our God, we praise you for your Son, Jesus Christ;
He is Emmanuel, the hope of all peoples
He is the wisdom that teaches and guides us.
Lord God let your blessing come upon us
as we light the candles on this wreath,
may the light be a sign of Christ’s promise to bring us salvation;
Come Lord Jesus Come
