We recall the many men and women who since the time of St Patrick have been a light in the darkness. As Missionaries, inspired by the Saviour and St Patrick, they have opened the eyes of people across the world to the faith. On St Patrick’s Day we can be proud of our Christian tradition and re-affirm our commitment to the Lord and his teaching. As we reflect on our Christian past we pray for a Christian future for Ireland.
